Version:           1.1 (using KDE 3.2.90 (CVS >= 20040117), Gentoo)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.2.3 20030422 (Gentoo Linux 1.4 3.2.3-r1, propolice)
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.6.1-gentoo

I am using the Plastik standard widget set, but some others seem to exhibit this.

In "Configure - Panel" under K Menu, if I choose "Name only" after using "Description (Name)" the names do change, but a the side of the menu gets chopped off so that the arrows cannot be seen either. Logging out and back in did not correct the situation.
