I'd love to have an option in the kopete settings to show the "chat memebers list" by default. Currently I have to enable the panel for every chat I start. I'd live to have a big clear indication of whom I'm chatting with.

This is also the reason why I'd love to see a contact's display picture in the same chat window. imho this would make perfect sense for 1 on 1 chats. (I may be a really dumb person, but it took me 15 minutes to find out where the display picture was, and I couldn't understand why that toolbar was empty anyway)

as i understand this feature is implemented now am I wrong ? i no could you close this wish ?

Yes, this seams to be implemented in Kopete 0.60.1 (KDE 4.1.1)
