*** Bug 74130 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I have the same problem on my computer (a Dell Inspiron 8100). It also occurs just after some time of working and is really annoying. I wish there was a debian package update for it. I don't have the time to compile from CVS at the moment. I already sent an E-Mail to Ralf Nolden and he told me that he's going to make Debian packages of qt 3.3 in the next days. That should solve this problem then. I've got the exact same problem. Ive got libqt version 3.1.2-0woody1. I saw a post saying you had to install version 3.2.3 or later, but I can't find a woody or backported package for it. Can you tell me how to solve this problem? On my Dell laptop, if I have "KLaptop" running (the nifty little battery monitor in the task bar) closing Konsole windows with the widgets eats my CPU. If I disbale (ie, don't run) Klaptop everything behaves. Here's a message I was sent today - but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. James I had kded eating ~50-70% CPU while running KDE 3.4 on an Athlon XP 2600+ (?!) and finally got the usage level down by going into KDE Components / Service Manager on the KDE control panel and disabling a bunch of services. However, I wouldn't know why those services were hogging the CPU in the first place. |
