I should add that I use SuSE 9.0. I installed KDE 3.1.95 from the SuSE server via Yast (rpms made by SuSE) Subject: Re: New: Quanta slows down and takes up to 100% of CPU time when entering text in exisiting file Can you please try to update to the CVS HEAD version? Only note that you have to checkout the kdewebdev module from the KDE CVS, not the quanta one. There is some experimental code try to solve such issues. Andras *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 63000 *** Hi Andras, updating to the CVS HEAD version means that I need the sources, which I don't have, right? As mentioned earlier, I used the SUSE RPMs. In that case, would I not need to compile the entire application? This bug is an app killer as far as I'm concerned. Are you going to correct this in a subsequent general release? If so, when might that happen? If everything goes well, it will be in the stable branch this week. |
