Version:           1.3 (using KDE 3.2.0 RC1, Gentoo)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.2.3 20030422 (Gentoo Linux 1.4 3.2.3-r3, propolice)
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.6.0-test11

I created my own color scheme for konsole, applied it to the current session and then saved it as default profile. Next time I start konsole, I still get the old color scheme and I have to manually apply my own again.

Yes. I've allready deleted all konsole related files from my ~/.kde/share directory, but w/o success. AFAIR this began with 3.2.0 Beta1, no problem with 3.1.x.

Review: I can still see this behaviour in KDE 3.2.2. However, the session management seems to remember color scheme settings: If I log out of KDE and login again, all restored Konsole windows get the colorscheme they had upon logout. But when I simply start a new konsole, I get "Konsole standard" colorscheme.

Found my mis{take|understanding}. I needed to associate the colorscheme with the session type, then it worked.
