i think the bug i have reported before is similar : Bug 124043 (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124043) This bug is very similiar to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124043 Regardless 4.x appears to always draw a random frame as a thumbnail. Currently KDE 4 + "mplayer thumb plugin" previews ever the same frame but hovering the icon, a sequence of frames taken from the video is displayed sequentially. I think this bug can be closed: the current behaviour looks good. Based on feedback in comment #3. Hi, I've tested this bug again due the closing status and I've discovered that the sequence is no more shown... it is quite strange because I remember to have seen this behaviour recently. I've tried both kdemultimedia-mplayerthumbs and ffmpegthumbnailer and none works :-( @Dawit: would you like to test this bug again? Thanks. FiNeX, I did a quick test and I do not see any sequences either. Perhaps the mplayer thumbnail generator was the one doing that and not the ffmpeg one. Anyhow, I have changed the status back to CONFIRMED. Thanks for checking and reopening. |
