Check your /etc/hosts file, and make sure that it reads: ``127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost" CUPS can be very nitpicky about hostnames not being resolvable, and in most cases I've seen with that problem, it was a hostname issue. Be sure that the CUPS server is running on your machine ("ps -ef | grep cupsd").
