The Bugs 42518 and 42517 already demand for this option but that's long ago.
It would be really cool to have a commandline option to check automatically the server and get the new posting headers (just as I would hit the button).

Because it isn't resolved. There is no "--check"-option and there is no reason 
written why this feature is not implemented (since Kde 3.0).
