Before the release of kdevelop 3.x it would be better to clean up the menus a bit :

* in the editor mode, the menu entry "Edit" -> "Overwrite mode - Insert" should be removed (is that so hard to find the insert key on the keyboard??)
* the entry "Tools" -> "Spelling" should be removed (this feature should stay in kword or kmail)
* the entries "tool view" and "tool dock" should also be removed from the menus. One would use the shortcuts instead of getting lost in a sub-sub-submenu. Please remove at least the "tool view" submenu, it contains at least five identical "Show" submenus (not helping at all). 

when no project is opened, the following submenus should be removed or disabled :
* "View" -> "Next error" and "View" -> "Previous error"
* "Tools" -> "Version Control" (do we do version control when no project is opened?)
