Description Wilbert Berendsen 2004-01-10 17:54:45 UTC
Version: v0.8.3 (using KDE 3.1.94 (CVS >= 20031206), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.2.1
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.23-ck1

When the drop target is partially covered by another window it is raised when i click it e.g. to move it.

But when it is not covered, it is not raised and when dragging the drop target around it moves behind other windows.

imho the drop target should always remain on top, i.e. in front of other windows.

here you can see that drop target is displayed as window. the first Kget window on this photo is Kget main window

Version: v0.8.5 (using KDE 3.5.6)
OS: Kubuntu 6.10 (i386 2.6.11)

I've found that sometimes drop target is displayed incorrectly (I suppose so) -
as an usual window, which can be not ontop of all windows - you can see it on
screenshot. So when I click on web page to drag and drop link on target,
browser gets ontop, while drop target hides behind browser window.

After restarting Kget drop target works right, but untill I hide it.

Thanks,
Igor

This is fixed in trunk (KDE 4).

Hello.
I think it's related, but it's not exactly about this bug.

I don't like the drop target, because it's always above something I whant to see/click.
Well, I disable it, no mater.

But sometimes, I miss it. Well, I'dd love this to be hiden, but to pop up when I start dragging an external link so I can drop it, __without exiting fullscreen mode in Konqui.__

Thanks.
