Sentry Crash Report:

Description Amit Shah 2004-01-09 14:29:03 UTC
Version: 4.0 (using KDE 3.1.94 (3.2 Beta 2), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 (Debian)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.0

Select all the text in a text box (by repeatedly clicking the text so that all of it is highlighted). On typing in the box, the default action should be to erase the marked text and accept the new input. This doesn't happen in some text boxes. It happened in beta1 too, but for some reason, I didn't report this bug then.

For a test case, check with the text box on the google search results page. Initially, search google with a multi-word query. Then, on the search results page, try this.
