Subject: Re: New: search folder appears twice in different language Hmm, core developers any suggestions on this one? I'm not sure what the correct technique to improve this situation is, or if such a technique exists. Don. Till's suggestion to not save the Last Search would automatically fix this problem. Another possibility to fix this problem would be to do what we do for the system folders, i.e. internally use an untranslated name and only translate the visual representation. I thought about it a bit more. I guess when the user performs a search they can call the search folder associated with that search what ever they like. If they name it "Last Search" which is the default then just like any other folder it won't be renamed when the user switches languages. Thus I close this with a WONTFIX. Maybe someone disagrees with this, I guess they can reopen the bug; it's certainly an annoyance. I also have no problem with Ingo/Till's suggestion of deleting the 'Last Search' on exit (or start up would probably be better). Don. |
