When importing such an entry, kaddressbook
in the recurrence settings this option is 
enabled:

Recur on day 62 of the year

instead of

Recur on day 3 of March

Interestingly, this event is always shown for Mar 3 even in years with Feb 29 which I consider
a bug in itself. In those years, day 62 is Mar 2.

This is what the imported vcal file has:
