Description Dominique Devriese 2003-12-28 01:20:15 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.4)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

Hi,

This is a forward of the following Debian bug report. I have confirmed it.
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=180894

There are several problems with the color selector.

1. In the rendering window, clicking in the menubar will select "window
background" and "window text". Actually, apps render the main menubar with
the button background and button text settings.

2. Also in the example window, the "New" and "Open" are rendered with the
wrong colors. The window background is correct, but the text for the menus
is rendered using standard text settings, not window text settings.

3. There is no way to set the face color for pull-down widgets (such as
appears in the Widget Color area. They seem to use the standard text
foreground color but I cannot determine what background color they use.

4. There is no way to disable the gray side around wm decorations.

cheers

I am pretty sure 1 is a keramik bug, it doesn't appear when using other styles. Please use the correct colors when rendering items. I also think 2 and 3 are keramik bugs, but I'm not sure, and 4 is pretty minor imho.

Sorry, we can't handle bug reports involving multiple unrelated issues, for different components. Please file separate bugs.

Let me rephrase it into one bug:

Keramik does not use the same color scheme as the other themes, which is the one which the colors kcm expects. The four previous points are only examples of the problem.

Keramik -> Unmaintained. (And the Colors KCM has changed a lot too)
