Version:           0.7.6 (using KDE 3.1.93 (CVS >= 20031028),  (testing/unstable))
Compiler:          gcc version 3.3.2 (Debian)
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.4.23-2003-12-3+acpiinitrd+vhz

If you put the messages pane on the left side (I removed the groups pane), you will see that the threading is not working at all in this configuration.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug.
