*** This bug has been confirmed by popular vote. *** if this can be reliably done, it would be a big step forward. for example, weather.com has additional four cities in latvia that noaa does not have, it certainly has forecasts etc. if they have city codes, there must be a way to overcome this in gui/configuration. 1. show a tree that is grouped by information source +noaa +www.weather.com \|-country1 |-country2 etc. this might be easier to implement, but would be bad from usability viewpoint. a better solution : 2. show country/city tree with available services as columns country noaa weather.com wunderground.com +country1 +country2 \|city1 x x x |city2 - o o in this case user can easily select several cities (depends on bug 106263 :) ) and/or services. x represents checked checkbox, - represents empty checkbox and o represents an icon that notices that particular service does not have data for particular city. if this functionality can be fully achieved, kweather would be something to really boast about :) kweather isn't maintained anymore. A replacement could be the weather plasmoid. If this bug is still valid for the weather plasmoid please open a bug against it (Product: plasma, Component: widget-weather). |
