How to Reproduce: Type some text in input field (like search or short description on this bug report wizzard), select some part of this text to owerwrite it, no action. Text is selected, cursor is blinking in right place, but no response on key pressing (no focus?). Placing cursor without selection allows to type in. Textarea element not affected. 
Somtimes blinking cursor is shown in input field, but no focus on this element, no text selected.
Reproducable: almoust every time.

I can't reproduce (HEAD 20031201). I've just tried on the Summary of this bugzilla page.
