Same problem here. I have in "Active Desktop Borders" setting: "Only when moving windows". When KDE starts it doesn't work, but if I do this: 1. "Always enabled" 2. "Apply" 3. "Only when moving windows" 4. "Apply" ..then it works. Again in reboot it does not (when kde starts). Same bug as #62728 and #60201(marked as duplicate). OK, I'm having some weird behavior with active desktop borders. i'll just list what i did and tell you the results. I'm running kernel 2.6.2_rc1 on mandrake linux. 1. In the Multiple Desktops portion of the kde kontrol center i selected Mouse wheel over desktop switches desktop. 2. In the Window Behavior Portion I had (in the Advanced tab) Only when moving windows selected. 3. I tried moving xmms to another desktop and it wouldnt't work. 4. I unselected the Mouse wheel over desktop switches desktop option and hit Apply. 5. I tried to move a window which had a border and it active desktops worked. 6. I tried to move xmms, active desktop didn't work. 7. On a hunch, I re-selected Mouse wheel over desktop switches desktop option. I tested to see that it (mouse wheel) worked (and it did). Then I tried to move a windows with borders (kwin managed) and it (active desktop) did switch desktops. 8. I then tried to move windows without borders (xmms) and Active desktop didn't work anymore. 9 I repeated steps 4,5, and for step 6 used gkrellm. Active desktop didn't work. 10. I did step 7 this time using the Always enabled option, and got the same results. Conclusion Active desktop + mouse wheel + kwin managed window = working active desktop Active desktop + mouse wheel + unmanaged (no win border) window = broken active desktop This seems related to this bug but if you want me to open up a new bug I will. bump |
