Description Mohd Asif Ali Rizwaan 2003-11-21 03:17:13 UTC
Version: 1.2.1 (using KDE 3.1.1)
Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2 20030222 (ASPLinux 3.2.2-5asp)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-9asp

Most of the keyboard shortcuts i assign do not work with konsole :(

here's example with CTRL+1, CTRL+2 for switching to session 1 and 2 respectively.

1. Open konsole
2. Click on new button to create one more session (now you have shell no1 and no 2)
3. assign CTRL+1 to session 1 in settings keyboard shortcuts
4. assign CTRL+2 to session 2 in key. short.
5. try pressing CTRL+2 to switch to session 2 (not working)
6. try pressing CTRL+1 to switch to session 1 (not working again)

instead of switching to the session it is just putting the numbers to the shell.

I like to use ctrl+1, ctrl+2...."ctr+=" for 12 keys in sequence. thanks.

I can reproduce this somehow. So, in the konsole menu, I went to configure shortcuts and I configured ctrl+1 for Go to session 1, ctrl+2 for Go to session 2, ... I have konsole with a few sessions open and pressing ctrl+1 entered a 1 in the shell, but ctrl+2 entered nothing.

I think there might be an issue with such a simple shortcut ctrl+key, so I configured Go to session 1 as ctrl+alt+1, Go to session 2 as ctrl+alt+2, and well, it worked as expected.

Using kde cvs 3.1.93.

With a current KDE release, you should see a popup-dialog explaining about using CTRL+<key> as shortcuts.
