Description Dik Takken 2003-11-13 11:13:30 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.93)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
OS: Linux

When I start KDE, the Kxkb icon pops up in the upper-left corner of the screen, in stead of on the system tray. When I close Kxkb and start it again, it appears on the systemtray, where it belongs.

I just read in the kde mailing list that the same thing happens to the battery monitor systray icon. Maybe it's a kicker problem?
Comment 2 Luke-Jr 2003-11-14 20:39:53 UTC
Same problem here.
Comment 3 Ricardo Ferreira 2003-11-15 17:32:25 UTC
I also confirm this for the kxkb icon but not for the battery icon as i dont have kde-cvs on a laptop to test.
Comment 4 Horacio Sanson 2003-11-15 18:20:09 UTC
I can confirm that the problem occurs with klaptop_check, in the mailing list I read it happens ramdomly, in may case is a fact. Everytime KDE starts the klaptop_check systray icon is on the upper left corner of my laptop screen. I use kde3.2b1 installed from sources using konstruct.
Comment 5 Martin Koller 2003-11-15 20:31:04 UTC
I have seen this too, but I also have seen such a thing with KDE-3.1.x on startup short before the kicker appears. When kicker was visible, the laptop-icon the reappeared in the systray. In 3.2 the icon stays in the top left corner (even when kicker is there).
