The schema editor is not intended to change your current schema. Changes to your current used schema are applied fine here. I can confirm what Stephan Binner reports, but I think the usability is a bit questionable, I think that if you select another schema in [Settings->Configure Konsole...->Schema] that this schema should be applied to the current console immediately (it would be the most logical thing to happen, IMHO). I just had a user complaining about the Schema tab: he thought it would set his current schema. If the dialog is going to remain the same, is it then possible to rename the tab to "Edit Schemas"? (And the "Session" tab to "Edit Session Types"?) I hope to redo the settings dialog for KDE 4. It has some major shortcomings from a usability perspective. Settings dialogs completely replaced in KDE 4, solves the aforementioned usability problem. |
