Because of lasting problems with offline wieving of pages and partially solved this when browsing in offline mode make switching between cache modes easier, eg.: place switch in status bar and by clicking walk through cache options: no cache, cache in sync, use cache when possible, offline browsing.

In "Bug 98405: offer action for switching to offline modus" I suggest to instead provide an action for on/offline switching. That way the user can add an icon for the functionality to his toolbar if he wants to.

Decided to close this bug: still think easier switching between modes is necessary but proposed solution isn't right. Bug 98405 is better.
