Description Casey Allen Shobe 2003-10-16 02:54:54 UTC
Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: gcc 3.3.1
OS: Linux

The main K menu is very slow over remote X11 on a 10Mb/s link. I've noticed that the menu is not separated from the image as I think it ought to be, because moving the mouse over parts of the image will also cause the menu selection to change (trivial bug). However, I think that KDE is redrawing the image or something very stupid whenever this happens, because the response speed of changing selections is quite slow (other menus, including submenus of the K menu, are very responsive, on the other hand).

It would be great if this could be corrected. For now I workaround by disabling the side menu, but I should not have to do this.

This bug also exists in KDE 3.1.4.
