Version:           3.1.4 (using KDE 3.1.4)
Installed from:    compiled sources
Compiler:          gcc version 3.3
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.4.22

In my Slackware 9.0 I setted preview of all file into Konqueror,
but when I open my home directory where I've got
a little PDF file (about 200 KByte) Konqueror doesn't
make its preview. This happen for all my PDF and PS files.
Why? On SuSE 8.1 preview works.
On SuSE and on Slackware I compiled qt-copy modules from HEAD and all
KDE modules from CVS BRANCH. I compiled kdegraphics and kdeaddons.
Why I can't have PDF and PS preview?

It works here. It must be a configuration error in your KDE installation. Can you open those 
files in kghostview? Do you get anything interesting in your ~/.xsession-errors (on the 
KService available)?

Even if that is really a bug and not a configuration error, that would be not a 
kghostview error but a Konqueror (or thumbnail generator) error

I attach the output of startx when I open with Konqueror my home directory and 
you can see that the PDF's thumbnails are not created:
kio (KIOJob): error 4 Cannot create thumbnail for /home/gioven/
squid_trasparente.pdf
The size of squid_trasparente.pdf is 129.791 bytes.

(Albert is right: this isn't a kghostview bug).
The bug has been fixed already (and will be fixed in 3.2).
