I was trying to set my mum up with KMail,

She has a 15" monitor and runs at 800x600..

Alas, the KMail config dialog is way too big for the screen, so I couldn't see stuff.

Perhaps it could be reorganized / shrunk or have scrollbars added?

In my opinion (my report is mentioned above as duplicate) this is a bug, not wishlist. Something is really spoiled, I reviewed all tabs and there is absolutely no reason for the window to be so large.

Maybe this bug could be resolved as duplicate of bug #74259, it seems some patch for the problem occured there....

It seems to me that this bug is already solved (at least all is right in KDE 3.2.3 I currently use). Has someone forgotten to close this bug?

Yes, that's true. This bug has been fixed by Polish translators.
