You'll want to leave debugging symbols in next time you compile... However I suspect the problem is the automatic words replacement. Loading it on my machine is a certain way to make kopete crash about 15 seconds after every startup. But then, I've never heard of 'Ortografic correction'. Well....except now that I try to reproduce it to get a backtrace...I can't get it to crash. what? who is deleting the contactlist? why? that has no sense.
the contactlist is only deleted when closing kopete.
there is something wrong in your backtrace. are you sur you are not running an
old plugin with a newer kopete?
Subject: Re: kopete crashes when configuring plugins I dont know how to be sure ir my plugins are older than the program itself. Aha, "ortografic" is italian for spelling or something similar (A google search shows that it's always used in conjunction with dictionary), which there have been a lot of crashing bug reports about. I imagine that you turned it on, hit save, and it crashed. This plugin no longer exists. Turn it off and reopen this bug if you can reproduce the problem without the plugin, but also upgrade to v0.7.2 first to see if that helps. *** Bug 65347 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Created attachment 25242 [details]
