Version: 1.5.1 (using KDE KDE 3.1.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

OS: Linux

it would be nice to be able to define automatic vacation-reply-mails inside kmail.

Today i have to use "vacation" to achive something similar. But vacation has one major feature missing. It runs on the client, and so the client has to stay on the whole period. As far as i know, there should be a way to tell a IMAP-Server to do this job.

The new feature has to consider filtering too. There should be a configurable possibility to block the sending of replies to mailing lists. "vacation" does this by analyzing the mail header and looking for lines containig one of a set of keywords like "mailer" , "list"... (or similar).

In KDE 3.2 you will be able to setup a vacation reply for IMAP (if your
server supports Sieve).

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
