Description A T Somers 2003-08-19 09:13:27 UTC
Version: 1.5.3 (using KDE 3.1.3)
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18-4GB

It would be cool if I could have a
filter _scedule_ a command, and have that command executed as soon as the
action that triggered the sceduling has finished. To take my mail-sound again
as an example. I could have the filter scedule to play my sound. The command
would be put in a queue if the same command is not allready in the queue. As
soon as the mailfetching that triggered the filters in the first place is
ready, the commands in the queue would be executed. This would allow me to
play a sound on the arrival of email that matches certain criteria, but would
only sound it once, even if multiple matching emails would arrive. If I were
to attach another sound to another class of messages, and such a message
would arrive too, the sounds would both be played, because the commandline
differs.

Probably you will be happier implementing this in an own script instead of waiting for kmail to get this feature.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
