Tim Jansen has done some UI work on KOrganizer and modified the look of the agenda to the following:

Maybe displaying (some) of the note too might be an option for KOrganier agenda too, 
however when doing this, the location might be more important.

Maybe this layout could do the trick

<header line>time of appointment (as in your patch)</header line>
<bold>Name of Appointment</bold>
<italic>location</italic>
<br>
<normal text>Notes for as long as it fits in</normal text>

Your "notes" are KOrganizer's "descriptions".

The description already appears on the tooltip. Directly on the item would take up too much space.
