When there are long lines in the history, resizing the konsole windows should redo the layout of that text. This would be similar to how emacs works and how the Mac OS X terminal works.  This helps a lot with readability of output from commands that spans multiple lines.  Feel free to e-mail me for questions.

I apologize for creating this as a bug.  This is the first bug I've created.  I
didn't realize that there were other options available.
