Sentry Crash Report:

Description lhf 2003-08-05 05:18:33 UTC
Version: KMail 1.5 (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 3.2.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.1 3.2.2-3mdk) Not compiled locally, came in Mandrake 9.1 binaries
OS: Linux

When connecting to the pop server using SSL, I get a dialog box telling me the IP does not match that which the certificate was issued for. I then get a prompt asking if I want to accept "forever" or for the current session.

The acceptance is not remembered "forever" and I now have to click on these two dialog boxes every time I start up Kmail.

I have checked the certificates under KDE Control Center/Security/Crypto, where there appears to be an entry for this server under Peer SSL Certificates. I have set the options there for Accept and Cache Permanently. The next time I start Kmail it prompts me again.

Note: When prompted in Kmail, there is a button on the dialog for accessing crypto configuration. When I open this, the crypto settings DO NOT show the entry for my pop server, as seen when I access the crypto settings via the Control Center.
