If a text is selected in lyx-qt and then you change the focus via the taskbar, kickers blocks and become very slow. It takes up to few minutes to change the focus.

Changing the focus directly clicking on the windows works fine.

I just checked it. The whole panel becomes very slow, not only the taskbar. 
Also applets, applications' buttons, etc.

Does disabling klipper help?

Yes, definitively. OTH, I found an action to make the bug show always, just in 
case you couldn't see it: after selecting the text in Lyx, click the right 
button on the klipper panel icon.

Do you run klipper as kicker applet, or as docked application in systray?
