*** Bug 63575 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** This is really a katepart (the editor part of Kile) issue, reassigning to the Kate developers. Kopete does this already as of their latest version. The code in Kopete could be copied. I heard that katepart is going to have this soon. From the Kopete (instant messenger) todo list: Spell Checking Plugin * Remove plugin when general KDE 3.2 spellchecking support obsoletes it. (Jason) Yep, I just googled a bit, and it looks like 3.2 will have as-you-type spell-checking. This feature is still missing in KDE 3.4.x! No one out there who can fix this? No new features will be added to KDE 3.4.x. However, kile is not part of KDE 3.4.x. I don't know how to mark a bug as a duplicate. 59292 should be marked as a duplicate. BTW, jan 2006, even the mozilla crew with the new thunderbird has already added the "wrong words underlined" feature. Whats going on with kde?! On Sunday 15 January 2006 12:31, MarC wrote:

Kmail has on the fly spell checking as well, so does khtml in form fields, and
lots of other kde apps. You can pay me to fix it, or count on us putting on
the rear end of the TODO lists if we have to listen to that sort of bullshit,
frankly.
Hi, I think that is a good implementation. Anybody can made this? Because kile uses the KTextEditor, this feature depends on the implementation of bug 33857 (which is already marked as RESOLVED). If kate has an on-the-fly spell check kile will also be able to use it. I support this request. I would also love to see this feature in kile. Fixed in KDE 4.4 trunk. Marking as fixed. http://dhaumann.blogspot.com/2009/07/followup-on-kates-on-fly-spellchecking.html |
