Description mathpup 2003-07-27 01:49:42 UTC
Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: GCC 3.2
OS: Linux

I cannot change the highlighting behavior of katepart. For example, when I'm editing a C# document, I do not want the comments to be italicized. So I go to Settings -> Configure Editor -> Highlighting and deselect Comment -> Italic in Default Styles tab. Then I pick OK, but the comments are still italicized. What's more, when I repeat the step above, The Italic checkbox on Comments is back to being checked!

I've also tried changing the behavior by using the Highlight Modes tab and deselecting Comment -> Italic there, but it exhibits the same problems as above.

You fail stating your version of Kate and KDE.
If you are using kde cvs, you also missed the similar bug report:

Are you?
