When a message is deleted aparently it is marked as deleted as well as a copy is saved in 'trash'. The approach by other MUA's (e.g. just show the message as marked for deletion with a crossed line) is more intuitive as that tells me that the message is still in the mailbox. 

At least an option that enables showing messages as 'marked for deletion' would work. I'd be happy to help out in working out a patch if needed.  I'm new to Qt, but I'm a veteran C/C++ programmer.

Please note that messages are currently immediately removed from Maildir folders if they (the 
messages) are deleted or moved to the trash folder. Only in case of mbox folders (and IMAP 
folders) the messages are only marked as deleted until the folder is compacted. The Maildir 
code will have to be changed before this wish can be implemented.
