Version: unknown (using KDE 3.1.2)
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 3.3 20030226 (prerelease) (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-4GB-athlon

I wish for KMail to support a 3rd mouse button rename option in addition to the already existing New Directory,Delete,Sorting,View and Properties in the saveas popup that shows when you want to save a received attachment file. The reason is that the name of the attachment file may already exist in the selected directory. But you want to keep the name of the attachment file. The current options are to either 1) save the attachment file under a new name and subsequently rename using fx konqueoror, 2) delete the already existing file using the existing delete option, 3) save it in another directory that does not already contain a file of that name and subsequently use konqeueror to make it right or 4) abort saveas temporarily to first rename the existing file using fx konqueuror.

I think that this would be done better in the global KDE Save As dialog, so that it would be
available from anywhere.

True. Nothing you can do just for kmail.
