Description Helen Faulkner 2003-07-04 19:25:52 UTC
Version: 3.0.0a4 (using KDE KDE 3.1.2)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

I was using the automake manager to remove a file from my gideon project. I checked the box to say "remove from hard drive too" (something like that), and then said "yes" to the dialog box question about removing the file from the cvs repository. But it didn't just remove the one file, it removed almost everything in the project directory (presumably ignoring the things in .cvsignore, though it also removed that. It also tried to remove all those files from the cvs repository, though I had the sense not to commit the changes, so didn't lost that stuff.

gideon has now done this to me twice. The first time I just assumed I must have said yes to something stupid. The second time I watched what I did very carefully and it has done the same thing. So I believe there is a problem if you choose the "remove this file from the hard drive" option in the "remove file from project" dialog box. I think this one should be reproducible, though I'm not going to keep experiementing with it because it has stressed me enough for one day!

This is fixed in CVS.
Update and test again. If it fails reopen the bug.
