Is it possible to kill the "man" process from another window? E.g. with
"killall -9 man" ?

yes, it is possible, but that's not the point. If I wouldn't mind opening up another window, then having a man page lock up a widow wouldn't be an issue for me. ttfn What happens if you run the same man command in xterm? Are you sure nothing sent a "terminal freeze" (Ctrl+S) sequence? Try hitting Ctrl+Q and see what happens. Could you also test Konsole from KDE 3.1.2? Very old version/report. |
