Michael, what about this one? (I will try to test the proposed files). I'm OK with the idea, but I'd make it more flexible, where the from-format and the to-format are configurable. Otherwise, to be consistent, you'd need a Letter-to-A4 filter, a A4-to-whatever, a whatever-to-A4, a whatever-to-whatever... Michael. "...I'd make it more flexible..." ---- Of course. I once had a generic half-working KDEPrint-ified "psresize" pre-filter on my harddisk. I'll look if I can find it. But it will be well after Wednesday (string freeze for 3.4), unfortunately. Im also missing this feature. for the flexibility the following options are nice: - Shrink oversized pages to paper size - Expand smal pages to paper size Just dreaming... but a good future feature for forest saving enthusiast would be also getting rid of superfluous margins on the way by cropping the page while scaling... I think this is a typical "Junior Job" candidate... KDEPrint in KDE3 is unmaintained and will have no more new features implemented. KDE4 uses the Qt print dialog instead. This request will never be implemented as a result. Closing. |
