galeon spins it continually like it should be.

Confirmed. Wasn't that a bug in Qt that is supposed to be solved now?

I'll retest in a couple of minutes with a new Qt.
Comment 2 Thiago Macieira 2003-06-30 16:23:09 UTC
Nope, didn't work either.
Comment 3 Stephan Binner 2004-01-22 17:18:57 UTC

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 72953 ***
Comment 4 Stephan Kulow 2004-01-22 18:30:16 UTC
sorry, that's no duplicate. The dosemu.gif breaks the Qt GIF reader, while the #72953 is about GIFs that work in Qt but are broken in khtml
Comment 5 Doncho N. Gunchev 2004-04-07 16:15:40 UTC
I can confirm the problem still exists in KDE 3.2.0. Mozilla 1.6 loops the animation with a short delay, 2-3 seconds, between loops.
Comment 6 Stephan Binner 2004-04-08 10:48:42 UTC
@comment 5: Read comment 4 that you're talking about another bug which is fixed in KDE 3.2.1+.
Comment 7 Doncho N. Gunchev 2006-01-26 11:31:59 UTC
So, the gif at www.dosemu.org triggers qt bug, not kde one? With KDE 3.5 in FC4 the animation still does not loop. Even if I download the gif and open it in konqueror it loops once and konqueror indicates it is still loading the image forever (20K local file).
Comment 8 Olivier Goffart 2009-04-12 18:12:30 UTC
It works fine with arora
Comment 9 Doncho N. Gunchev 2009-04-23 23:36:27 UTC
I just tried with KDE 4.2.2 - qt-4.5.0-14.fc10.x86_64 kdebase-4.2.2-3.fc10.x86_64... fedora testing - no image at all (broken image icon). FF 3.0.9 however works just fine.
