Xandros does this Alt+O is always the accel for OK/Open in dialogs. On Wed, 29 Sep 2004 12:18 am, Stephan Binner wrote:

Ok, maybe not &O but I think the core of the request is that you can use an
accelerator key to jump to the directory combo at the top of the filedialog.
All that has to be done is to add "Fol&der:" to the left of the combo.
Dunno why it's not there - takes to make space? It appears that in KDE 4.x at least the keyboard shortcut is the same as in other Konqueror location bars: Ctrl+L although that isn't obvious in the QT4 Open file dialog, maybe there should be a "L&ocation" label like there is in Konqueror? Moving from "kio/kfile" component to "kfile" product, helps sorting out duplicates. As there is Ctrl+L since ages I think this bug could be closed - introducing a 'Folder' label just to have a visible accelerator for the folder selection doesn't make sense IMHO, as this would make the dialog too crowded. It's already a masterpiece having such a nice dialog (after the cleanup that happened around KDE 4.1) yet providing so many options - so I'd vote for keeping the additional label out of the dialog and not changing the current state. Yep, ctrl+l does it. |
