Description Joerg de la Haye 2003-06-25 16:41:17 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.2)
OS: Linux

It would be interesting to have an option to view the used fonts and if they are embedded or not like the utility "pdffonts" or Acrobat Reader does.
I think the best place would be at "File -> Document-Info", and then display the meta data you get via kfile_pdf or kfile_ps. Of course at first it would have to be implemented into the two kfile-plugins, I've already filled this as a wishlist bug (Bug 60350).

I think it would be useful to show the complete meta data of the given file here, and additionally showing the used fonts and if the are embedded or not helps a lot in finding font problems (wrong Fontaliases in Fontmap, is the font embedded correctly, etc.).

Okular already provides this feature.
