Can you clarify? I didn't understand what you want. I understand and I have the same request. The original poster wants to be able to treat .desktop-files as links to the location they point to, just like "normal" symbolic links. Ie. if I have a "Home.desktop" file on my desktop and I drag a file onto it, I want it to be copied to my home directory. Currently, Konqueror opens my home directory and then tries to open the file. The same goes for file-save dialogs (treat .desktop-files as symbolic links - i.e. if you click them open the directory or URI they point to). This would also allow people to drag files to the "home directory" in the Konqueror F9 sidebar (and not just its subdirs). I am using a current CVS version. Moving from "kio/kfile" component to "kfile" product, helps sorting out duplicates. The bug is still valid on current KDE 4 trunk. |
