@Peter: what do you think about this wish? Could it be interesting for dolphin? Very interesting feature, but this is out of scope of Dolphin IMO and would be a feature of kdelibs. No, not in kdelibs. This would be a separate daemon/configuration utility. There's a related bug 163079 focusing on file conversion actions, overlapping with this as a special case of general script execution. I wonder, if this is really a useful feature to integrate into dolphin. Maybe a standalone demon can watch certain folders and run scripts. The configuration and writing those scripts certainly requires a plethora of options and IMHO necessitates a new application. It's like saying: "I want AutoKey-features in the keyboard-layout switcher ..." just because both applications happen to be related to keyboard input. I used this feature on macOS many times and really liked it/ Moving the bug report to KIO. This could be implemented as a new tab in the properties dialog I suppose. |
