Although this entry is quite old, i second it. It would be very nice if there would be a possibility to insert a link to a contact in a task or calender entry. Most simple would be just a link to the contact, more sophisticated would be a possibility to specify a certain way of contacting, e.g. calling or emailing a person from the task/calendar entry. Also nice would be a way to open up a related journal entry. Usage: Dr. K. does research on cockroaches in Germany, Dr. B. does the same, but in Canada. They call each other on a regular basis to catch up on each others results. Since Dr. K's memory isn't as good as it once was, he needs to remind himself of calling Dr.B. For the same reason he takes notes during their calls. Therefore Dr. K. sets up a calender entry for Friday 10 o'clock. In this calender entry he can link to the contact of Dr. B. in his kAdressbook. When he opens the entry, he can click on an icon, which automatically calls Dr.B. using the specified software. He can also click an icon, which generates a journal entry for the date and time being, where he can take notes. Reassigning all KOrganizer bug reports and wishes to the newly created korganizer-devel mailing list. *** Bug 58600 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** This may be possible in the future when Decibel is out. Until then, closing. |
