Description Bill Gallagher 2003-05-11 18:30:00 UTC
Version: 2.1 (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
Compiler: gcc 3.2.2 Mandrake Linux 9.1
OS: Linux

Using kate to write and execute perl programs. Works fine with "ordinary" perl programs that have
simple terminal output.

When using perl-Tk graphics library, kwrite cursor and the terminal cursor both disappear after 2 or
3 executions of a perl script that writes graphics using the Tk library. Cursors will not come back
until program is re-loaded. Cursor functionality still exists, words can be selected etc, but the cursor
itself is not displayed.

If perl-Tk program is executed from a separate command line terminal (not the one imbedded in kate), the kate cursor does not disappear.
