I am using three keyboard layouts: US, US /w deadkeys, and Arabic. In KDE 3.0.x , i was able to toggle between the three using Ctrl+Alt+k. But now i can use this method only to toggle out of US or out of US /w deadkeys. There is no way of toggling out of Arabic without clicking on the icon in KPanel. I have tried other methods, such as the Alt+Shft method mentioned in the Hebrew bugs, but that doesn´t work either.

Please note that this is a regression.

I believe this is the same as bug #56432. If so, it's not a KDE bug. 
 
The problem is that the K key no longer generates a "K" character, so hitting 
Ctrl+Alt+K isn't interpreted correctly. The same happened in bug #56432, in which 
Ctrl+B in a cyrillic keymap generatec Ctrl+Cyrillic_i instead.
