Description Chris Brien 2003-04-21 14:18:28 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.1a)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc 3.2.2
OS: Linux

When the mouse cursor is over the kwrite component, and you start typing, the cursor autohides, and is supposed to reappear when you hit a key. But, if focus is stolen by another application while the cursor is hidden, the cursor never reappears.

The same thing happens in konsole, but I notice it most in kate, since I have both kwrite and konsole in the same app. I'm editing java code in the editor, and running it from the terminal, and the cursor disappears - the only way to get it back is to restart the application.

This is dependent on bug 46219 (which was previously ignored). I would like to disable cursor hiding (I hate having to search for the pointer), and this bug would not exist were it not for autohiding.

Bug bonfirmed on 3.1.1-0.8x.1 rpms ex kde.org on RH phoebe (rh9-pre). Original phoebe installation has same problem.

Dupe of bug 55550. Yes, I should have looked better.
