Version:           0.7.2 (using KDE 3.1.1)
Installed from:     (testing/unstable)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.2.3 20030309 (Debian prerelease)
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-2003-4-7+swsusp

If I choose a signature file on a ftp or fish place in my local network, knode does not accept is and stupidly tells me that I can only choose local files. This is not true, I just chose a remote file.

KDE should remain network transparent, IMHO.

Is this bug still present in a recent version of KDE, such as 3.5.8 or 4.0.1?

It is still present.
Since I (as Knode's maintainer) will not make any change to this behaviour, I'm closing this bug.
