2 things: - if you don't restart the CUPS server, does the created
printer still prints the PS as plain text (after having completed
the printer installation)?
- in the add printer wizard, when testing the printer, a
dialog appears. While this dialog is shown, could you look into
/etc/cups/ppd/ directory for a file named like tmpprinter_xxxx.ppd
and send it to me (assuming you're using CUPS as print system).
